Over 23 students who showed great enthusiasm during our earlier outreach programs were chosen for a three-day naturalist camp conducted at Periyar Tiger Reserve. One of the best ways to instill love for nature among children is to take them to a forest and let them experience it.
The three days camp covered conservation games, introduction to bird watching and backyard wildlife. These students are in touch with us through an online group and they are being guided to become responsible green citizens. Interacting with students at a closer level gave YFC inputs to tailor environmental education modules in the future.
