The truth about tigers outreach marathon
Less than 2000 wild tigers survive in India. Being a flagship species, the tiger plays a crucial role in the survival of hundreds of species that share the same habitat. The ecology of tigers, the conservation issues they face, and the solutions to conservation are encapsulated in 'The Truth About Tigers', a 40-minute documentary film by Shekar Dattatri.
The YFC team, led by K. Ramnath Chandrasekhar, travelled to eighteen districts in Tamil Nadu and addressed over 35,000 students, in various schools. Here are the stats:

Each screening was followed by an interaction with students and teachers to enable them to better understand tigers and their conservation. The programmes received an overwhelming response.
